What residential cleaning means at Spotless

Residential cleaning is the standard maintenance clean — the kind of cleaning a home needs every week, every two weeks, or every month to stay in good shape between deep cleans. It's the work most households would do themselves if they had the time, the energy, or the inclination on a Saturday morning. Most don't.

What makes it standard isn't that it's basic — it's that it's the same job, done well, every time. Floors get vacuumed and mopped. Surfaces get dusted and disinfected. Kitchens and bathrooms get the full treatment. Trash goes out. Beds get made if linens are out. The home looks and smells the way it should when you walk in the door.

If your home hasn't been professionally cleaned in a while — or ever — we'll usually recommend starting with a deep clean and moving to standard residential after that. The deep clean tackles the buildup; standard cleaning maintains the result.

  • Light switches, door handles, and high-touch surfaces wiped and disinfected
  • Trash emptied and replaced
  • Cobwebs removed from accessible corners
  • Mirrors and glass surfaces polished

Kitchen

Our process

Booking and the cleaning itself follow the same flow every time. The point is predictability — no surprises about price, scope, or who's coming through your door.

Book online

Use the instant quote tool. Enter your home's size and the type of clean. The exact price shows immediately — no phone call required.

Confirmation

You'll get an email confirmation with the date, time window, and the names of the cleaners assigned to your home.

Cleaning day

Crew arrives within the time window, texts when they're on the way, and gets to work. Most standard cleans take 2-4 hours.

Walkthrough

Before they leave, the crew does a final walkthrough. If you're home, they'll show you the work. If not, they'll lock up and text you confirmation.

What it costs

Spotless prices residential cleaning based on home size — square footage, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms — and the frequency you book. We don't quote a "starting price" and surprise you with a different number on the day.

The instant quote tool shows your exact price before you book. Recurring clients (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) get a per-visit rate that's lower than one-time pricing — typically 10-20% less depending on frequency. The math is simple: a clean, predictable schedule is easier for us to staff, and we pass the savings on.

What's not in the price: deep-cleaning add-ons (oven interior, refrigerator interior, inside windows, baseboards on every floor) — those get scoped separately if you want them. Use the deep cleaning service if you need that level of detail.

Common situations we handle

Residential cleaning isn't a single use case — it's a category of household maintenance. Some of the most common reasons West Valley homeowners book us:

Working parents who'd rather be doing anything else

Two working adults, kids in school, weekends booked with sports and family — cleaning the house is the thing that gets pushed to "later" until later turns into a problem. Standard residential cleaning solves that. Bi-weekly visits keep the home from ever getting to the breaking point.

Empty nesters who don't want to spend Saturday cleaning

Once the house is empty, the cleaning gets easier — but it also gets less rewarding. Plenty of our clients are retirees or empty nesters in Surprise, Peoria, and Goodyear who simply don't want to spend their time on housework anymore. Monthly visits work well at this stage.

Households with mobility limitations

This is closer to home for us — our owner Jack started Spotless partly because of how his disabled in-laws were treated by other cleaning companies. If a household member can't physically clean, we treat that home with the same seriousness we'd treat our own family's. Same crew every visit, no surprises, no upsell.

Homeowners managing a large home with limited time

4+ bedroom homes in Verrado, Litchfield Park, and the master-planned communities of Peoria can take an entire day to clean properly on your own. A two-person crew gets it done in 3-4 hours and you get your weekend back.

Anyone who hosts often

If you have family or guests in regularly, a clean home isn't optional — it's a baseline. Standard cleaning the day before a visit is one of the most common one-time bookings we get.

Questions about residential cleaning

Frequently asked

What's included in a standard residential cleaning?

All living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms — vacuumed, dusted, mopped, sanitized, and wiped down. Specifically: floors vacuumed and mopped, surfaces dusted and disinfected, kitchen counters and exterior of appliances cleaned, bathroom fixtures scrubbed, mirrors polished, beds made if linens are left out, and trash emptied.

How often should I get my house cleaned?

Most of our clients book bi-weekly or monthly. Households with kids, pets, or heavy foot traffic often go weekly. If you're unsure, start monthly and adjust based on how the home looks between visits.

How long does a standard cleaning take?

For a standard cleaning of a typical 3-bedroom Surprise home, plan on 2-4 hours with a two-person crew. Larger homes or homes with more bathrooms take longer. The instant quote tool gives you the price upfront so timing isn't a billing variable.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

No. Most of our recurring clients give us a code or hide-a-key arrangement. We text when we arrive and when we leave. If you're a first-time client, being home for the walkthrough is helpful but not required.

What's the difference between standard and deep cleaning?

Standard cleaning is the maintenance clean — surfaces, floors, fixtures, the visible spots. Deep cleaning adds the detailed work: baseboards, vents, inside appliances, tile grout, light fixtures, behind the toilet, and the spots a maintenance clean doesn't cover. New clients usually start with a deep clean, then move to standard for recurring visits.

Do you bring supplies?

Yes, every visit. If you have specific products you want us to use — sensitivities, surface concerns, eco preferences — note it when you book and we'll work with what you provide.
